Ever since he was a child, Joshua's favorite drink has been milk tea; a choice mature enough that his mother wouldn't disapprove, and sweet enough for a child's palate.

Stain
Blood stains were a common thing for Joshua and his acquaintances at this point, and yet, whenever new ones appeared after his coughing fits, Clive would rush to his side to comfort him.

Island
Joshua stayed behind when Clive and Torgal went to the small island near Port Isolde, gazing at the horizon and fixing his eyes on what remained of his beloved homeland.

Apple
An apple a day keeps the doctor away, or so Joshua has been told for years, but despite his best efforts, that was never the case for him.

Paper
If Joshua needed to tell his brother something, he could approach him and say it, but he knew his time was borrowed, and he didn't want to worry Clive any more, so he went to get a roll of paper to write down a couple of his thoughts, for Clive to read at the end of it all.

Once it started to rain, Clive ran towards Joshua, took off his cloak and threw it over him, covering him as much as possible; Joshua tried to share the cloak, but Clive refused, and in the struggle, they both got wet.

When Joshua was little, he couldn't reach the surface of the kitchen table to steal a couple of sweets before dinner; luckily, Clive was always there to help him.

After all these years, Clive’s continued determination to be his shield made Joshua equally happy and proud, but his brother’s vehement rejection of the idea that he deserved the same protection was driving him crazy.

His mother loved diamonds, and always kept them out of Joshua's reach; when he finally got his hands on one, he had no interest in them anymore, so he sold it to the first merchant he found, to finance his continued travels with Jote.

During the early years it was hard to understand how uninterested in their lives the undying were, to the point of giving them up for the cause if he required it, but the more years passed, the easier it was to turn a blind eye, because if something had taught him all this time, is that they would not change their ways.

Flow
Joshua remembers being mesmerized by the movement of the water in the stream, so much so that he forgot where he was standing and ended up falling into the very water he was admiring; the next thing he remembers is Clive's worried expression, who ran to help him.

Movement
Every time he passed near the workshop, Joshua could hear all the activity going on down there; Mid was always working on a new project.

More
Joshua had made peace with this outcome, but even now he wished he had had more time.

Joshua was highly respected by the Undying, for he was their leader and reason to be; what he did not expect was that this treatment would continue in the hideaway, for he was Cid's younger brother.

Clive's hand felt pleasantly cool against his feverish forehead.

Joshua asked to be present during the screening process for candidates to participate in the ducal tournament; he always enjoyed watching the shields battle, but above all, he wanted to see and cheer on Clive, even if silently.

Thanks to the Phoenix within him, Joshua had always had a comfortable body temperature; this was the first time he felt cold like this, as he transferred the power of the Phoenix to Clive, in the somber place that Origin was.
