One winter, in better times, John's dad took them to the Rockies for skiing; it was the first time John had skied on fresh power snow.

There was a grim satisfaction in beating the Wraith even if he shied away from the word 'genocide.'

Fucking Ancients was often used when a promising solution to their energy problems turned into a trap that he needed to free himself or Rodney from.

Worn clothing was used as rags or made into quilts; John had a quilt made from a stealthily-taken collection of Rodney's old t-shirts.

The Athosian ritual was important to Teyla, which is why John allowed her to paint his face with runes that would, hopefully, bring them good fortune in the future.

There was a welcome ache in his body after a night spent making love to Rodney.

The fruit from P34-298 was much sweeter than earth cherries, and lime green in color, but were a welcome addition to their meals.
