rangetsu heron - 50 sentences about Rokurou Rangetsu

#1. Snow
It was the first snow of the year, and Rokurou was spending it outside near a fire with Shigure close by watching him the entire time, trying to stay warm in the cold, without getting too close to his brother.

#2. Child
Since he was a child, Rokurou had looked up to Shigure, and even now, even with his hatred for the man, there was something impressive about his older brother.

#3. Brick
One encounter had Rokurou slammed against the wall of a tavern, pressing his back against it while Shigure looked down at him with the worst kind of look on his face, one that Rokurou was far too familiar with.

#4. Judgment
What would be the judgment for the things they’ve done, for all the death and destruction the pair of them left in their wake, what would anyone say should happen to the both of them once it was all said and done?

#5. Powder
Rokurou’s fingers opened as the ashes of his family slipped through them and flew away in the wind, his eyes closed as he let them all disappear on the breeze and towards the ocean, the final goodbye.

#6. Grim
The days they were stuck in nothing more than the dark, grim rainstorms, were some of the worst and most wonderful feeling of Rokurou’s life, the way Shigure used him over and over again, with no concern on how he was feeling, just his own pleasure.

#7. Trap
Shigure’s sword trapped Rokurou’s clothes against the wall, holding him in place while he smugly walked up to him, like the bastard he was.

#8. Star
There were a number of nights where Rokurou laid back and looked at all the stars in the sky, how they twinkled and shone above him, his eyes captivated and following each one’s movement.

#9. Possession
Rokurou belonged to Shigure, there were no two ways about it, Shigure owned him entirely and the freedom he craved was never coming so long as Shigure breathed air.

#10. Bandage
“You gotta be more careful,” Shigure grumbled as he wrapped bandage around Rokurou’s arm where he had fallen, “The only one that can cut you is me.”

#11. Pearl
It was one of the few valuable things he kept in his pocket, a single pearl, in case he needed to sell it to get away from Shigure, but the pearl had never left his body, and he didn’t think it ever would.

#12. Glass
Rokurou took a sip from his sake cup, looking towards Shigure, already lightly red in the face and sliding just that little bit closer to him.

#13. Classified
A bounty on their heads for them to be returned dead or alive, that’s what Rokurou saw in the paper of the inn they were staying at as Shigure prepared his sword for whatever may come next and try to come between them.

#14. Buttons
That’s what Shigure did to Rokurou each and every time, press all of his buttons simply to see what reaction he’d get, and Rokurou would, unknowingly, give it to him every single time.

#15. Closet
Shigure hung their clothes up in the closet that was provided in the room and handed them both robes to go bathe in, although if Shigure had much to say about it, there would be very little bathing involved.

#16. Ash
All that was left the following morning as Rokurou laid there in his spent mess and how Shigure left him, was the ash of the fire that had gone out sometime in the night and left him in the cold of the morning air.

#17. Definition
It was like Shigure could see right through Rokurou, see his shape no matter how much he wore, dressed up to hide his body and yet it didn’t matter to Shigure, he would look at him like he was naked either way.

#18. Staircase
It was the staircase when he was drunk that was always the problem, but fortunately (or truly unfortunately), Shigure was there to help him up the stairs to their shared room making sure he didn’t get lost (on purpose or by accident).

#19. Nail
Shigure’s foot kept Rokurou nailed against the wall, pressing him there as a reminder of who was in charge and how Rokurou was always going to be underneath him, underneath his shoe and have to deal with that for the rest of his days.

#20. Prey
Shigure was a natural predator, and Rokurou his prey that he stalked all across the land to find and take back to his den to chew up and spit out to repeat the process, and there was nothing Rokurou could do about it.

#21. Backwards
Hand on his chest, Rokurou was pushed backwards on the bed and forced to look up to the ceiling as his sight was blocked by Shigure leaning over him.

#22. Trouble
Trouble, that’s all Shigure brought into Rokurou’s life that the least Rokurou could ever do was repay the favor.

#23. Little
Little Brother was how Shigure would refer to him, and although Rokurou wanted to be annoyed, there was something buried inside of him that enjoyed it.

#24. Collar
It felt as though a collar was wrapped around Rokurou’s neck, pulling him towards the holder of the leash, Shigure smirking at him the entire time as he dragged him screaming and fighting back to him.

#25. Circle
A vicious circle was all their relationship would ever be, fighting, fucking, leaving again, and finding each other over and over, as if they were magnet and steel attracted to one another.

#26. Hands
Shigure’s hands were always rough on Rokurou’s skin, the way they left marks all over and caused him to groan with each and every touch he put on there, a reminder of who was in charge.

#27. Freedom
Freedom never felt close to Rokurou, he was always going to have a chain holding him to the ground, trapping him within Shigure’s power and not letting him go any time soon; even if he was able to escape some day, he didn’t know how he would get away from him.

#28. Last
When would it be Rokurou’s last fight with Shigure, when would their last battle be, and who would come out on top are thoughts Rokurou has had so many times in his life.

#29. Scab
Rokurou’s fingers ran over the last few scabs that had begun to form from their previous fights, when swords slashed and knives entered skin, causing shivers to go up and down his spine.

#30. Crown
It wasn’t even as though Rokurou wanted to knock the crown off Shigure’s head, he simply wanted to prove he was the better swordsman than his brother for once in his life, and, more importantly, make Shigure lose.

#31. Time
Time would go on, and nothing would change between them, no matter how much Rokurou said he wanted it to (but did almost nothing to make it happen, staying in line of Shigure forever).

#32. Rice
A meal with rice always reminded Rokurou of home, how close his family had been so long ago and what had become of all of them since.

#33. Worn
Rokurou wouldn’t consider himself worn out until he had passed out on the floor, face first in the ground (Shigure standing over him was more likely than anything else), and until that point, he could keep going.

#34. Paint
Rokurou’s clothes painted red, with blood, after another kill, another death, splattered all over him to be cleaned out later.

#35. Ache
The day after whenever Shigure pulled him in for a night was just a day where Rokurou ached, and could not tell anyone why; not because the words escaped them but the humiliation of being used by his brother like that was too much for him to handle.

#36. Cherry
Shigure had been his first time long ago, and the only one he had ever had since then, and the only one he would ever have in his life, Shigure owned him entirely.

#37. Library
The Rangetsu estate (if it could be called that) had a small library that Shigure could be found in on occasion, and Rokurou would sneak in and join him, just to stay close to him; a thing that would never happen in this day and age.

#38. Win
Another win, another time that Rokurou was on the ground, looking up at Shigure who was standing above him with a smirk on his face, the bastard.

#39. Loss
How many times had Rokurou lost to Shigure, he began to lose count, but he knew he couldn’t stop trying, that would be basically death to him.

#40. Fold
Rokurou was pressed in half underneath Shigure, his eyes closed and head turned to the side as he tried not to look at him, although he could feel every little motion and movement that happened to him, seeing Shigure was just too much.

#41. Music
Rokurou could hear the music from the evening pub downstairs, slowly moving up into the room where Shigure had him in place, hand keeping him on the bed and not letting him move.

#42. Bell
When the clock’s bell tolled, and Rokurou woke up in his bed to look beside him, Shigure wasn’t there, having left in the middle of the night and leaving Rokurou with the shame and anger that only came from having this sort of experience.

#43. Sleep
There were nights where very little sleep was involved, whether he was with and underneath Shigure or he was on his own and could only think about his brother in ways he might have desperately not wanted to.

#44. Contact
They rarely stayed in contact, Rokurou only waited for Shigure to show his ugly mug to know he was still around, and that he was ready for them to fight again; the last part need not be said though, it was just how the Rangetsus were.

#45. Electricity
There was an undeniable spark between the pair of them that Rokurou would love to do nothing more than completely and utterly deny; how could he even have thoughts about Shigure like that… and yet, there was no pretending otherwise when ever they spent nights together.

#46. Milk
Fingers working to get every last drop out of him, Rokurou’s back arching off the bed and his head digging in to the pillow as Shigure just chuckled above him, watching him squirm underneath him.

#47. Wild
The wild winds whipped through Rokurou as he stood on the edge of a cliff overseeing the ocean, his hair blowing behind him and the ocean breeze filling his lungs, a feeling of new life washing over him.

#48. Expectation
The sixth child had no expectations placed on him by the rest of the family, how could he when the first child was the obvious winner of them all, and it pissed Rokurou off to this day.

#49. Mechanism
If he could just pretend it all didn’t happen, or it was all a mistake, maybe Rokurou could do better, but the defense mechanism he pretended existed could only work for so long when he never truly fought that hard back against Shigure.

#50. Finale
Shigure was dead, that was a fact, and although Rokurou’s relief should be coming at the finale of their relationship, there was only dread as he gripped the wall and threw up, his stomach heaving, knowing that his ghost would be haunting him forever.
